<p><img src="http://www.reno.gov/Modules/ShowImage.aspx?imageid=4754" alt="Geothermal Energy Association" align="right" hspace="10" vspace="5" />From Aug. 16-17, the <a href="http://www.reno.gov/redirect.aspx?url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.geo-energy.org%2fnationalgeothermalsummit%2fmain.aspx">GEA National Geothermal Summit</a> will convene industry and government leaders in one of the world’s most important geothermal business centers, Reno, Nev. The event will feature a welcome address from the Honorable Bob Cashell, Mayor of Reno. Summit attendees will discuss key opportunities for the geothermal energy industry, as well as challenges to its success and growth.</p>

			</div><div style="clear:both"></div><div style="padding-bottom:4px;"></div><p>Struggling homeowners that have fallen behind on their monthly payments and want to meet with their mortgage servicer face-to-face to create a workable solution for mortgage default are invited to attend the Help for Homeowners Foreclosure Assistance Event.</p>
<p>The event will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Reno Sparks Convention Center, 4590 S. Virginia Street. There will be no charge for parking.</p>
<p>HUD-approved housing counselors will be available along with servicers and other valuable resources to assist individuals with foreclosure assistance programs, options, and how to avoid foreclosure scams.</p>
<p>The City of Reno has partnered with the City of Sparks, City of Fernley, Washoe County, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for the event.</p>

			</div><div style="clear:both"></div><div style="padding-bottom:4px;"></div><p>On Monday at 5:30 p.m., Reno’s famous landmark, the Reno Arch will turn blue in support of the University of Nevada Wolf Pack.</p>
<p>American Sign and Crane Company donated the labor and equipment for the bulb replacement project. The cost for the bulbs has been completely funded with generous community donations.</p>
<p>The blue bulbs will remain in place until after the sold-out University of Nevada and Boise State football game on November 26.</p>
<p>“Turning our famous Reno Arch blue shows the town’s support for our Wolf Pack teams and generates great community spirit,” advises Mayor Bob Cashell.</p>
<p>The City of Reno is urging downtown casinos and business along with the entire community to put up blue lights or “Go Pack” on their marquees and signs.</p>
<p>“The University of Nevada has had an exciting fall and we have enjoyed fantastic community support for the Wolf Pack this fall. Seeing the famous Reno Arch turn blue will be great for our community as we look forward to our final home football game of the season,” Nevada Director of Athletics Cary Groth said.</p>
